I'll admit it. Most of the time I'm pretty much a couch potato. My workout routine outside my job doesn't usually extend beyond walking the dog. (Even though I've been a member of anytime fitness for about 4 years) I always try to tell myself I'm going to go work out, but it doesn't happen because something else better comes along. Or hey, look something shiny! I guess I never really had a goal that I REALLY truly wanted to accomplish before. Sure, being healthy and in shape sounds great, but I really wasn't all that unsatisfied with my body. Most of the time. Except when I'm shopping for clothes.
Then yesterday I saw that Tough Mudder is going to be in Wisconsin in September. And I was like, "Ooooo! Fire! Electrocution! Ice! Mud! Water! Holy hell!" Now if you don't know what Tough Mudder is, here's a short video...
So, now you know my goal. If the teamates I'm recruiting keep their word, I'll be signing up for this soon. I timed myself on the treadmill and elliptical machine at the gym today... results were not so great. Let's see what happens, and if I can stick to it.
